How long have you been on this server?: Just a day, although I have over 1200 hours of HL2RP experience
Why do you want to be a headcrab/zombie?: I want to create interesting, dangerous encounters for players. I think some of the most engaging moments in RP is where there is a legitimate threat. I don't wish to necessarily end people's players, that's just mean and dumb, but I want to create situations where people need to react quick, and will get to explore combat RP, which can be very rare for people depending on what they typically do as a character.
Do you understand how headcrabs work within the Half-Life 2 universe?: Headcrabs drill into a host's skull, infecting their brain and body. Slowly, over the process of (typically) a few hours, the host goes through a transformative process. In humans, this typically results in (depending on the headcrab type) either the stomach splitting open to be used to feed the headcrab, the flesh mostly decomposing leaving an agile, but fragile hunter, or bubbling up and expanding with poison, creating the black headcrab zombie, which usually attracts other black headcrabs.
What are the three zombies and headcrab types?: As mentioned above, there's the standard headcrab, the fast headcrab, and the black, venomous headcrab, as well as their respective zombie types.
Explain the process of feasting or living off prey.: The headcrab, now with its host, will attack thing that it's able to eat. To be totally honest, I'm only knowledgeable on how regular and poison zombies eat, and that's by taking the flesh of their kill and piling it into their split-open stomach, while the massive maw digests it. As for fast zombies, I assume it would follow a similar process, however it looks like their organs (or any space to put the food) has been stripped away. Potentially feeds straight to the headcrab, but needs to eat less to compensate?
Roleplay a situation of taking over a citizen. (min 15 lines):
John Doe flicks his cigarette, his back leaned against a wall, as he takes a deep sigh.
"That's just it, you know? I'm tired of... sitting around. Doing nothing. I want action!"
Bob Robinson nods, shrugging his shoulders. "Yeah, man. I guess I see where you're coming from, but like, what's it gonna do? You kill one cop, two more take its place. They're like fuckin' hydras, man!"
The men, smoking here in this abandoned construction site, standing in gravel, continue their chat as small chitin legs tap against the steel surface of a beam above them. A headcrab, no more than a foot tall and wide, clicks quietly as it spots its prey. Primal instinct serves notice that attacking these two grouped together would be suicide. And so the headcrab waits.
"<:// Dispatch, we've got, uh, two civvies with contraband, spotted in restricted area. Moving to engage."
An opportunity.
The headcrab watches as one of the two creatures scrambles in fear from the darker one. The other, seemingly more aggressive, moves to attack the dark one, but is met with a swift hit to its abdomen from some sort of tool, met with a flame at the end of it. The headcrab watches, however, as the second piece of meat runs, ducking through metal contraptions and past stone columns.
Leaping from its perch on the metal beam, the headcrab pursues, leaping gracefully from each structure. Soon, its prey meets a dead-end, and the headcrab pounces.
Digging its maw onto the head of its prey, the headcrab drills inwards, piercing the skull, and beginning its takeover. The man, screaming, claws at his head, but to no avail. Quickly, the man's frantic clawing becomes weaker, as he loses his footing and falls unconscious, fallen victim to its predator.
Over the next few hours, the body of this man would contort, as the bones from his fingers meet with the headcrab's pathogen, elongating the bones and coating them with thick muscle. The stomach splits open, and the ribs are repurposed into teeth, perfect for eating prey of any size. Soon, the newly formed monster rises, and lets out a scream to all those who may hear that it has come to feast.
"YABBA! MY ICING!"
Roleplay a situation of taking over a MPF unit. (min 15 lines):
"<:// Target has been spotted, heading northbound. Target is armed. Pursuing on foot."
A squad of MPF Units, weapons drawn, sprints through an abandoned construction site. Gravel crunches under their feet as their heavy boots power into the ground. Two men, each armed with a pistol, barely evade them as they sprint past columns of stone, and rusted metal beams.
The two men round a corner on their right, and the squad leader raises a hand, signalling the team to stop.
"<:// Targets have reached a dead-end. Proceed with caution, likelihood is they-"
A scream suddenly echoes out from around the corner. The leader of the squad rushes around the corner, but is met with the body of one of those that they were pursuing. The body, facing horizontally in the air, crashes against the chest of the Unit as they both crash to the ground violently. Two Units move to round the corner, but as the first one does, it's met with a claw dashing across their chest, tearing at the kevlar and pushing him backwards.
A headcrab zombie shuffles out, screaming at the group with a primal ferocity. The remaining Units unload into the beast's body as it charges forward.
From the back of the group, there is a cry of pain, muffled by the transformative properties of the respective unit's vocoder. A headcrab has latched onto their head, and has begun to assault them. The units raise their weapons to fire, but as they do, two more headcrabs leap from the shadows, stopping them in their tracks.
The group of units thrash about as the headcrabs drill through the plasteel of their helmets, then past flesh and bone, into their brains. The squad, made entirely helpless by this ambush, would begin to transform slowly over the next few hours, as their bodies begin to rot. One of the units, who had been infected by a headcrab with a black tone, would emit audible groans as his flesh bubbles outward, splitting the fabric of his uniform, as a poisonous substance fills his body. Another unit, infected by a slimmer headcrab, has its flesh eaten away, uniform and all, as it is reduced to nothing but skin and bone. After some time, the entirety of this squad would rise again, groaning and shambling together, in a direction, ready to find their next victim.
